Zinda Law Group, a prestigious personal injury law firm is looking for an entry-level Legal Assistant to join our team. This role is based in our Austin, TX office.

This entry-level Legal Assistant role will assist with reception duties, mail distribution, setting up conference rooms, office maintenance and administrative support. You will also provide overflow support to our intake, records and pre-litigation departments. This is a great opportunity for administrative professionals looking for hands-on training and long-term growth within the legal field.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong administrative support to the department and leaders
  • Create and support meeting preparation
  • Optimize incoming and outgoing mail distribution processes
  • Handle faxing and scanning tasks, ensuring accurate and secure document management
  • Manage a complex filing system
  • Utilize e-filing system
  • Process checks, close addendums and handle deposits accurately
  • Assist receptionist with front desk duties
  • Maintain office supplies and break room essentials
  • Enhance existing practices for preparing conference rooms to ensure a professional and organized meeting space
  • Provide overflow support to Intake, Records and Pre-Litigation Paralegals as needed
  • Assist with office administration
  • Assist management with daily and weekly calendar tasks
  • Maintaining office Inventory, placing orders, budget
  • Manage inventory of supplies and place orders within budget constraints
  • Other duties as needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission and in line with our Values

Qualifications:

  • Organized, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Willingness to take on a variety of tasks
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs
  • Previous experience as an administrative assistant or legal secretary a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Compensation, Benefits & Perks:

  • $20-24/hr based on experience
