Job summary

ZG Subpoena Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Analyst to support client engagements handling third-party civil requests for user data. You will apply policies, analyze requests, and ensure compliant responses with sound judgment.

The role emphasizes structured analysis, cross-team collaboration, and maintaining discretion with sensitive information. A hybrid or fully remote work arrangement is available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ideally 2+ years of relevant experience in the legal or compliance field.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace; Zendesk a plus, but not required.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and be willing to pass a drug test if requested.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain understanding of applicable laws related to different legal user data demands.
• Develop understanding of client policies and workflows; raise questions for clarity.
• Respond to data requests from law enforcement and third parties per policy and law.

Salary Range

$45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year based on experience, education, and geographic location.

FLSA Status

Hourly, Non-Exempt (overtime eligible)

This position may be performed on a hybrid basis for candidates located near one of our office locations or fully remote for candidates residing in approved states outside of commuting distance.

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented Legal Analyst to support client engagements handling third-party civil requests for user data. This role requires sound judgment, strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, and substantial hands-on experience reviewing and responding to legal process.

The ideal candidate

must be able to sustain focus for extended periods, analyze legal requests for user data, consistently apply policies, rules, and guidelines to determine appropriate responses, and effectively shift focus and prioritize tasks when competing demands arise.

What You Will Do

• Establish and maintain an understanding of applicable laws associated with uniquely different legal demands for user data through structured and ongoing training.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of client policies and workflow procedures, raising questions as needed to facilitate clarity, alignment, and best practices.
• Respond to requests for client data from law enforcement and other third parties pursuant to client policies, processes, and applicable law.
• Collaborate with team members to identify, recommend, and implement improvements to both ZGSS internal and client processes, procedures, and policies that add value and drive the success of our clients.

Your Capabilities & Experience
