Job summary

AfterQuery is seeking Legal JD Experts to craft and refine legal reasoning challenges for our AI training modules. This remote, flexible role designs scenarios across contract, constitutional law, IP, and more, testing AI interpretation with precision and nuance.

You will evaluate model responses, provide detailed feedback, and collaborate with legal and technical teammates to adjust difficulty and educational value. A JD and experience in legal practice or academia are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality legal questions and case studies that challenge AI models on topics such as contract law, constitutional law, intellectual property, and more.
• Evaluate and validate model responses, offering detailed feedback to ensure logical consistency and adherence to legal principles.
• Collaborate with a team of legal and technical experts to fine-tune question difficulty and ensure content is both challenging and educational.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Proven experience in legal practice, research, or academia with a robust understanding of various legal disciplines.
• Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Multiple years of legal practice or substantial legal research experience, ideally in diverse fields of law.
• Prior involvement in legal publications, policy work, or legal tech initiatives.
• Familiarity with AI or technology-driven legal applications is a plus.
