Position Overview

The Legal Administrative Assistant will provide support to one or more in-house attorneys. This is a highly collaborative position, dedicated to providing high-quality administrative support. Candidates should be flexible and adaptable, with strong communication, computer, organization, and writing skills. The role will be supervised by the Assistant General Counsel.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Assist in a variety of day-to-day administrative duties, including tracking legal claims, evidence management, handling requests from internal clients, interfacing with external and internal attorneys, and litigation management software system.
  2. Manage electronic files and other internal data, including data entry and preparing reports.
  3. Manage collection and organization of evidence for claim examination and the legal discovery process.
  4. Assist outside counsel with navigating through internal systems and processes.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  1. 3+ years providing administrative support to legal, technical, or management/executive teams.
  2. Work experience in the finance and/or legal setting is strongly preferred.
  3. Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred; legal administrative or executive administrative experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel; ability to quickly learn new software functions.
  5. Experience with database management is a plus.
  6. Excellent comprehension and review skills for legal documents.
  7. Strong organization, attention to detail, and interpersonal/communication skills, including writing.
  8. Familiarity with standard business or legal communication.
  9. Discretion and trustworthiness when handling sensitive information.
Compensation

$40,000 - $60,000 annually.
