JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you ready to excel in a fast-paced legal environment? Alston & Bird is seeking a talented Legal Administrative Assistant to provide world-class support to our esteemed attorneys. This role offers a variety of engaging duties, including crafting, and revising correspondence, memoranda, and vital documents, while ensuring top-notch quality control. The position also involves managing time sheets, coordinating travel arrangements, and maintaining meticulous files.

  • Assist attorneys in drafting and proofreading legal documents such as memos, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Possess strong knowledge of local, state, and federal court filing processes and procedures.
  • High-level understanding of trial preparation process to best assist assigned attorneys.
  • Communicate professionally with internal and external clients.
  • Maintain case files to ensure that all documents are kept organized.
  • Ability to manage multiple heavy calendars simultaneously and assist with meeting preparation tasks.
  • Enter attorney time and help facilitate client billing process.
  • Answer telephones and sort mail.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements.
  • Process expense reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with other administrative departments when necessary, such as IT, Conference Services, & Guest Services.

Attention to detail is crucial, along with the ability to work independently and tackle complex situations with analytical skills and initiative. Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of prior administrative experience in a law firm is highly desirable.
  • A high school diploma is required; an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel is a must.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000 and represents the Firm's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience and qualifications. Note that this range is specific to our San Francisco office and may not be applicable to other locations.
