Job description

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Prior Legal Administrative Assistant work experience essential.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  4. High attention to detail, ability to multitask in a high-paced environment, and manage deadlines.
  5. Ability to prioritize and coordinate work.
  6. Ability to maintain confidential information.
  7. Ability to manage workflow and delegate projects as necessary.
  8. Ability to think critically and analytically in a pressured environment.
  9. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with various levels of staff within the organization.
  10. Ability to work productively and cooperatively with other employees.
  11. Ability to learn new skills as necessary and adapt to using new equipment such as computers, duplicating machines, and scanners.
  12. Proficiency in navigating iManage, MS Office, Elite, 3E, and Chrome River.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provide detailed legal and administrative support in a Secretarial Service Center (SSC).
  2. Coordinate office procedures, maintain workflow, and foster teamwork.
  3. Work effectively with other Legal Administrative Assistants, provide coverage, and volunteer for overflow work.
  4. Mentor and share knowledge with team members, and lead by example.
  5. Manage scheduling, travel arrangements, and related logistics for lawyers.
  6. Organize and communicate pertinent information, answer phones, and assist visitors.
  7. Type, revise, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports.
  8. Utilize iManage for document management and maintain organized records.
  9. Manage lawyers’ time entries, billing, and client billing processes.
  10. Complete work assignments within deadlines, maintaining a sense of urgency.
  11. Maintain lawyer preferences and communicate with supervisors about availability and time off.
  12. Participate in the Legal Administrative Assistants Certification Program.
  13. Ensure timely attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
  14. Uphold confidentiality, discretion, and integrity with sensitive information.

Compensation : $79,000.00-$110,500.00, plus overtime and bonus
