Job Description

The Service Intelligence team is seeking a skilled full-stack Software Engineer to maintain and enhance our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and related tools. The CMDB is crucial to our IT and Global Security operations, focusing on data collection, aggregation, mining, and presentation. The Software Engineer will fulfill the responsibilities outlined below.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support the CMDB front-end and back-end systems.
• Expand, maintain, and improve integration across diverse data sources.
• Enhance UI/UX of the CMDB web interface.
• Innovate to help IT improve services to the business.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in front-end and back-end website development.
• Experience with Web Technologies such as Sveltkit, TailwindCSS, JSON, and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in Python, Docker, and Linux operating systems.
• Strong understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, code structure, CI/CD, and deployment architectures.
• Solid foundation in Computer Science, data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with Azure services including compute, functions, storage, and data management.

Capabilities

• Ability to design, implement, and own large-scale systems with guidance.
• Proactive problem-solving in design, implementation, and operation.
• Develop pragmatic, extensible solutions and simplify existing systems.
• Evaluate new technologies and techniques relevant to the work environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IT operations, processes, and best practices such as ITIL and CMDB.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure components: network, storage, servers.
• Experience with Data Science including ETL, modeling, and analytics.
