Leer East in Milton, PA is seeking a highly motivated, dependable 2nd Shift Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

FOR A LIMITED TIME...

$750 Sign-on Bonus payable after 90 days of successful employment!

Overtime may be scheduled, and some Saturday availability is required.

Preferred qualifications include 1-3 years of manufacturing experience. Leer offers full-time hours, overtime, and 10 paid holidays from the date of hire. Eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package begins after 30 days of full-time employment and includes paid holidays, group health insurance, prescription coverage, dental, vision, short-term disability, and a 401(k) plan. Paid vacation is available after 1 year.

Requirements:
  • Must have reliable transportation; public transportation is not accessible.
  • Pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
General Summary:

The maintenance mechanic is responsible for performing diversified duties including installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production and facility equipment, adhering to safety and predictive maintenance systems to support company goals.

Essential Functions:
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.
  • Assist with installing and maintaining production machinery and plant equipment.
  • Assist with emergency and scheduled repairs of production equipment.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and adjust machinery.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and facilities.
  • Assist with plumbing and carpentry tasks.
  • Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
  • Must be physically active, able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb all day.
  • Frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Punctual and professional with good attendance.
  • Capable of handling change, delays, and unexpected events.
  • Follow policies and procedures, take responsibility, and complete tasks timely.
  • Work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED.
