The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish a pool of Lecturers in Theatre within the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. Appointments are temporary and part-time (<50% time), with semester-by-semester eligibility for courses that may be in person or online.

Please note this posting is to create a pool; qualified individuals will be contacted as needed to teach classes. Residency in Colorado or relocation within two months is required.

• Master’s degree in Theatre or related field or significant field experience demonstrated by a Letter of Expertise submitted to HR.
• Teaching experience in theatre courses and ability to adapt to online and in-person formats.
• Applicants should reside in Colorado or be prepared to relocate within two months of starting employment.

Salary/Pay Range:

$1,300 per credit hour. Compensation willbe commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtimeprovisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

Because this appointment is temporary in nature, you will not beeligible to receive all of the benefits normally provided tofaculty under the standard University of Colorado benefits programs. You are not eligible to receive paid vacation leave, medical, orretirement benefits. However, you are eligible to accrue sick leaveat 0.034 hours of sick leave per hour worked.

Determined by course modality: On-campus,online, or hybrid. Remote teaching opportunities may be availableunder certain conditions.

Summary

The College of Letters, Arts, and Science (LAS) at the Universityof Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain apool of Lecturers in Theatre from which future appointments totemporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointmentsare part-time (less than 50% time) and will be madesemester-by-semester.

The position is responsible for teaching various courses forTheatre; however, exact courses taught will depend on need at thetime of hire The courses may be in person or online.
