$3,900 per 3-credit course. Courses with low enrollment (less than 12 students) may be canceled. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience, qualifications, and teaching assignments. This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.
Determined by course modality. Generally on campus, in person. Remote teaching opportunities may be available under certain conditions.

The College of Education at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in the Department of Teaching and Learning from which future appointments of temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester.
Qualified applicants will be placed in the department pool and will be considered for part-time departmental needs to teach courses for programs in the Department of Teaching and Learning. Classes primarily meet in-person, on-campus, but courses could also be offered hybrid or online.
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
A lecturer's duties include: meeting assigned classes or delivering online content consistent with university, college/school, and department policies; providing instruction in assigned classes consistent with the content and learning objectives of the regular course syllabus and, if appropriate, with department course coordination policies; being available, either face to face or electronically, to students in assigned classes to provide additional academic support as needed and appropriate for the teaching assignment; and complying with university-wide student evaluation of instruction policies and peer observation policies.
This posting is for Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027. Positions are open until filled. Applications will be reviewed on a semester-by-semester basis as business needs arise.
Because this appointment is temporary in nature, you will not be eligible to receive all of the benefits normally provided to faculty under the standard University of Colorado benefits programs. You are not eligible to receive paid vacation leave, medical, or retirement benefits. However, you are eligible to accrue sick leave at 0.034 hours of sick leave per hour worked.
