The University of Kansas School of Social Welfare seeks two Lecturers for 12-month, 1.0 FTE appointments to teach in BSW and MSW courses, in-person and online across Lawrence, Salina and Edwards campuses. Qualified candidates may teach online DSW content with a doctoral degree.

Roles include curricular development, course management, and mentoring teaching assistants. Ideal candidates have MSW with substantial human service experience and relevant continuing education.

Formación

• MSW plus 5 years of human service employment directly related to specific areas of instruction and content specific expertise in subject matter with at least 30 documented hours of directly relevant professional continuing education
• MSW plus 3 years of human service employment related to specific areas of instruction, advanced licensure, and content specific expertise with at least 30 documented hours of continuing education
• Master's Degree in a Relevant Social or Behavioral Science Discipline plus 7 years of human service employment directly related to specific areas of instruction and content specific expertise with at least 30 documented hours of continuing education
• BSW plus 10 years of human service employment directly related to specific areas of instruction and content specific expertise, with ongoing participation in professional continuing education
• MSW plus 5 years of human service employment directly related to specific areas of instruction and content specific expertise, with ongoing participation in relevant Professional Continuing Education
• MSW plus 3 years of human service employment directly related to specific areas of instruction, advanced licensure, and content specific expertise with at least 45 documented hours of directly relevant professional continuing education
• Masters Degree in a relevant Social or Behavioral Science Discipline plus 7 years of human service employment directly related to specific areas of instruction and content specific expertise with at least 45 documented hours of continuing education
• Doctoral degree in a relevant Social or Behavioral Science Discipline for DSW level
• At least 3 years of human service employment beyond the master's degree for all levels
• Documented history of successful teaching in higher education settings or continuing education workshops
• Expertise in subject matter evidenced by employment, coursework, or continuing educational experiences

Responsabilidades

• 60-90% Teaching: 10% effort devoted to each 3-credit hour course.
• 10-40% Service: curricular development, syllabi planning, textbook acquisition, media/tech needs, course management software, program coordination or mentoring graduate teaching assistants and adjunct instructors.
