Position Overview

Part‑time Lecturer Pool Position – One or more temporary, part‑time lecturers will be considered for appointments when positions become available for Fall Semester 2026 and/or Spring Semester 2027. The School of Engineering, part of the College of Science, offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Management, and Construction Management.

Responsibilities

Teach courses in one or more of the following engineering programs – Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management – at both bachelor’s and master’s level. Deliver lectures, facilitate discussions, grade assignments, prepare course materials, and participate in faculty meetings, committee work, and the academic mission of the School.

Qualifications

• M.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline with relevant work experience is required.
• Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
• Experience teaching at the university level is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Appointment

Lecturer rank. Salary depends on educational preparation and experience and follows the Lecturer Academic Year classification ranges:

• Range 2: $5,507 – $6,677
• Range 3: $6,221 – $13,224
• Range 4: $6,825 – $14,523
• Range 5: $8,593 – $15,211

The anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range.

Appointment Dates

Fall Semester begins August 17, 2026; Spring Semester begins January 19, 2027.
