Overview

The Department of Communication in the Dodge Family College of Arts & Sciences at the University of Oklahoma invites applications for (2) Lecturers to teach graduate courses within the online master’s degree program in Organizational Leadership. We seek dynamic and experienced educators to provide high-quality instruction and practical insights into the fields of organizational leadership and communication. Successful candidates will bring a blend of academic expertise and real-world experience, preparing students for leadership roles across industries. Courses to be taught may include: Theories of Management and Leadership; Creating, Leading, and Managing Change; Leadership Communication; Cultures of Organizations; Building High Performance Teams; Evidence-Based Leadership; Financial Leadership; Strategic & Crisis Communication; Professional Development & Coaching; Project Management; Building Positive Workplace Relationships and Organizational Leadership Graduate Capstone.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach a 4:4:2 load or equivalent in the online Master’s in Organizational Leadership program.
  • Deliver engaging, innovative, and practice-oriented curriculum focused on leadership, organizational communication, interpersonal skills, change management, and ethics.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and staff to refine the curriculum in keeping with the strategic vision for the program.
  • Contribute to service activities within the program, college, and university, such as program development, student recruitment, and community engagement.

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry or consulting experience in organizational leadership, communication, public relations, management, business, nonprofit, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate theory and practice in the classroom.
  • 1-3 years graduate-level teaching experience.
  • Experience with instructional technology and online education platforms.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
