Job summary

Cal Poly Pomona's Department of Theatre and New Dance seeks qualified individuals to join a temporary lecturer pool. The position supports teaching in theatre and dance, with terms aligned to academic calendars and available upon enrollment and funding.

Faculty are expected to teach a range of courses, participate in student mentorship, and adapt to in-person or hybrid delivery as needed. Fall and Spring terms are described, with options for Summer as available.

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Theatre, Dance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to supporting student success and the educational goals of the program.
• Prior teaching experience at the college or university level and ability to furnish evidence of strong teaching.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned division courses and provide weekly office hours.
• Offer courses in face-to-face, synchronous, asynchronous and/or hybrid modalities, including day, evening and weekend sessions.
