Job summary

The University of Kentucky invites applications for a Lecturer in Retailing and Tourism Management. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in the HMT and MAT programs, and contribute to departmental, college, and university service activities.

Qualifications

• Masters’ degree with a min. of 3-5 years extensive professional experience or Ph.D in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Retailing Management or related field.
• Extensive experience in the event industry or related field to credentialing body.
• Teaching experience or ability to contribute to undergraduate programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in the HMT and MAT programs.
• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with industry partners, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, government agencies, alumni, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to student engagement, internships, applied learning, and collaborative projects.
• Support department, college, and university service activities and interdisciplinary initiatives.
