Job summary

The Yale Gordon College of Arts and Sciences at UBalt invites applications for a full-time, one-year renewable Lecturer in Legal Studies, beginning Fall 2027 with a 4/4 teaching load.

The appointment is open to candidates with a JD and demonstrated teaching ability; preferred candidates hold advanced degrees in philosophy or history or law practice experience, and will engage in program development, internships, and prelaw activities.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law program and teaching experience.
• Ability to teach at all levels of graduate and undergraduate law courses.

Responsibilities

• Co-instruction and co-supervision of legal studies internships.
• Assist in implementing the LP H BA program, including development and recruitment for that program and the Legal Studies MA.
• Faculty advisory role for UBalt’s mock trial team and other prelaw activities.
• Contribute to program and curriculum development and participate in faculty responsibilities.
