Qualifications

PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field, or Master’s with substantial teaching/professional experience.
Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate teaching and ability to teach mechanics of materials or thermal-fluid sciences.
Experience teaching large-enrollment courses and coordinating multi-section courses is desirable.

Responsibilities

Teach foundational undergraduate courses in statics/ mechanics/ materials or thermodynamics/ heat transfer.
Develop and deliver clear, rigorous lectures, labs, assignments, and assessments.
Provide timely feedback, hold office hours, and support diverse student backgrounds.
Coordinate multi-section courses with faculty, graduate instructors, and staff.
Contribute to course materials, curricula, and quality improvement.
Engage in departmental service and student advising as needed.
