Job summary

Nevada State University invites applications for a Lecturer of Human Health Sciences with a background in anatomy and physiology, microbiology, and/or introductory biology. The 12-month position is non-tenure track and primarily located on the Henderson campus, with some courses possible at the North Las Vegas campus.

The department supports BS degrees in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Human Health Sciences.

Qualifications

• MS or terminal degree in Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, or Microbiology.
• ABD will be considered with degree completion by June 30, 2027.
• Strong commitment to teaching and mentoring undergraduates.
• Diversity commitment and effective interpersonal/communication/tech skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach 30 credits per academic year (12 fall, 12 spring, 6 summer).
• Teach lower-level courses in Anatomy and Physiology, Life Science, and General Microbiology in-person.
• Serve on departmental and university committees; engage in professional development.
