Job Description:

To teach in the Health Services Administration program for the Department of Health Sciences, College of Professional Studies.

Responsibilities:
  • Teaches courses in the Bachelor of Science Health Services Administration program; advises health science majors and serves on department, college, and university committees.
  • The successful candidate is expected to assist with course and curriculum development and coordinate some program activities.
  • Teaching experience at the college level and professional experience in the field of health service administration is required.
  • Experience integrating technology into the teaching process and/or teaching in a variety of modes (hybrid and on-line) is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience conducting research with undergraduate students.
  • This is a full-time, contractual position.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. is required.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting is desired.
  • A doctoral degree in Health Services Administration or a related field is required.
  • Knowledge of theory and practice in the health sciences, especially in the area of health services administration, is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have knowledge of curriculum design for academic programs.
  • Effective planning, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with students and colleagues from diverse backgrounds are necessary.
  • Ability to provide a record of research, scholarship activities, and strong teaching ability.
