Course Description

The College of Business Administration at California State University San Marcos seeks part‑time lecturers for Fall 2026 to teach Business 300: Business Professional Development, one of our Signature Programs. This required 2‑unit course enhances students’ professional skills by teaching interactive lessons pertaining to career exploration, soft skill development (e.g., employability skills), and job search strategies.

This position requires facilitation skills that aim to increase our students’ career confidence. Candidates should be professionally engaged for at least the past 8 years and have knowledge of industry trends for career development practices. The course uniquely incorporates executive coaching; executive in residence (EIR) coaches work alongside instructors to ensure students meet coaching requirements and complete self‑reflective assignments. Candidates should be able to foster a team environment with assigned coaches and ensure timely and frequent communication.

Salary

Salary commensurate with degree level and experience. Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 - $6,677 per full‑time month.
