The Department of Biology and Biochemistry at the University of Houston invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, Lecturer position to begin in Fall 2025.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Introductory Biology courses for both majors and non-majors in a collaborative, student-centered environment and for coordinating an Introductory Biology laboratory course during the summer. This is a twelve-month, non-tenure-track position, initially appointed for one year.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant biological discipline and should demonstrate strong academic training, a deep passion and commitment to undergraduate education and evidence-based pedagogy, and a willingness to contribute to student success initiatives and curriculum development in the biological sciences. Classroom teaching experience is highly desirable.
