Responsibilities

Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and student success. Lecturers will provide classroom instruction and maintain additional hours outside class to assist students. Benefits

Compensation

Monthly base salaries are prorated to units worked and paid in six monthly payments per semester. For a three‑unit assignment, typical starting compensation ranges from $5,436 to $6,486 per semester.

Special Conditions of Employment

The position is designated as a “mandated reporter” under the California Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Act and requires compliance with CSU Executive Order 1083. The incumbent must keep confidentiality per FERPA and the California Educational Code Chapter 13 concerning sensitive student issues.

All offers of employment are contingent upon a successful background check, including a criminal records check.

Working in the State of California is a condition of employment.

Employees must submit their vaccination status to the Otter Vaccination Registry and are encouraged to be vaccinated, per CSU COVID-19 Vaccination Interim Policy.
