The Mountain Lake Biological Station seeks applications to fill a non‑tenure‑track Lecturer position during the 2026 summer academic term to teach advanced undergraduate and graduate‑level field biology courses in areas such as ecological genetics, community ecology, population biology, and behavioral ecology. Courses may also focus on specific taxa, including mammalogy, ornithology, herpetology, entomology, mycology, and botany. Anticipated enrollment is 12 students, and courses run for three weeks. Instructors live and work at the Station during the course.

Teach the scheduled courses in a field‑based setting, manage instructional activities, and provide instructional support for lab credit to Biology majors.
A terminal degree in Biology or a related field is expected, though not required. A valid driver's license in good standing is preferred. Candidates must be prepared to work long hours outdoors in sometimes rugged environments and in all weather conditions.
