The Department of Health Sciences in the College of Health Professions and Sciences (CHPS) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure earning, lecturer position. This is a face to face on campus position located at the UCF main campus with a start date in August 2027.
Candidates are required to be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with substantial full-time teaching experience in an academic institution and a demonstrated commitment to high-quality instruction, student mentoring, curriculum development, and academic program administration.
The successful candidate will teach required undergraduate courses, including a General Education Program-approved nutrition course, an advanced, senior-level Health Sciences seminar or other courses consistent with departmental needs and the candidate's expertise. They will also contribute to instruction in the department's forthcoming graduate program in Nutrition Science and Dietetics.
In addition to teaching responsibilities, the selected candidate will serve as the Undergraduate Program Coordinator. This is a critical role that supports the quality, effectiveness, and continued development of the department's undergraduate curriculum. The coordinator will work collaboratively with department and college leadership, faculty, staff, and university partners to advance curricular best practices, facilitate continuous program improvement, support student recruitment and success, and ensure fulfillment of institutional and General Education Program requirements.
