Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–River Falls CAFES invites applications for a Lecturer in various departments on a temporary, part-time basis. The candidate will join a pool of qualified instructors to teach courses based on needs, funding and availability.

This pool may be drawn upon to fill vacancies as they arise. Responsibilities include serving as the initial student contact, developing instructional design, and delivering classroom, online or laboratory instruction while assessing performance.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience in area of expertise
• Education: Master’s or terminal degree in related discipline is required
• Strong communication skills: listening, speaking, and writing (including proofreading and editing)

Responsibilities

• Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to course content and expectations
• Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of instruction
• Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or more courses, including assessment of student performance
• Lecturers may be hired in the areas: Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Education, Animal and Food Science, Engineering and Engineering Technology, Plant and Earth Science
