Job summary

Paramus Public Schools seeks a Leave Replacement Elementary Teacher at Parkway Elementary School in Paramus, NJ. This full-time temporary position runs January 19, 2027 through May 28, 2027, with transition days possible before start. Reports to the Principal under the terms of the Paramus education agreement.

The educator will provide an approved elementary program, foster learning, and maintain strong relations with families and staff to support student development.

Qualifications

• Elementary teaching certification (K-6 or P-3).
• New Jersey resident or willing to relocate.

Position is associated with the terms and conditions of the negotiated Agreement between the Educational Association of Paramus (EAP) and the Board of Education.

Job Goal(s):

To provide an approved elementary education program and establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth; to help students develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education; and to maintain good relationships with parents and other staff members.

Elementary Certification, K-6 or P-3

Salary:

$57,547.00 prorated in accordance with effective dates

• New Jersey resident or willingness to relocate
• Controlled substance testing and successful completion of criminal history background check are required of all applicants offered employment.

Evaluation:

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement between the Board of Education and the Education Association of Paramus.
