Job Summary

The Leave and Disability Examiner is responsible for managing short-term disability, state disability, and concurrent leave claims by reviewing information, determining eligibility, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. This role develops claim management strategies, coordinates disability and leave decisions, and provides exceptional customer service while guiding employees and employers through the claims process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and manage short-term disability, state disability, and leave claims.
  • Determine eligibility and benefits by analyzing medical, employment, and policy information.
  • Coordinate claim and leave decisions, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to employees, employers, and stakeholders.
  • Resolve claim issues, gather required documentation, and collaborate with internal and external partners.
Skills And Background You’ll Need

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience: 2+ years of experience in office administration or customer service.

  • Familiarity with leave, benefits, or disability claim management preferred.
  • Ability to manage detailed information accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.

Salary Range:
21.63 - 29.45
