Job summary

Edward Rose & Sons, LLC is seeking a Leasing Supervisor to join our on-site team in Grand Rapids, MI. You will lead the leasing staff to drive resident interest and retention through superior customer service and professional presentations of the community.

The role requires prior sales/customer service and management experience, with familiarity in multi-family properties and leasing processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi Voyager is preferred, with a flexible schedule

Qualifications

• Previous sales or customer service experience is required.
• Previous management experience is required.
• Experience in multi-family property management is preferred.
• Experience in leasing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the leasing team to promote resident interest and retention through high quality customer service.
• Meet with team members regularly to discuss development opportunities.
• Delegate responsibilities with department needs in mind.
• Resolve employee relations issues ethically and promptly.
• Present community information to prospective renters to meet their needs.
• Assist the community with accounting needs.
• Provide accurate information on features of the community and area.
• Respond to calls and emails promptly to build rapport with prospects.
• Process applications and follow up to maintain communication.
• Prepare lease contracts and documents.
• Coordinate move-ins/outs and document events for departments.
• Address resident complaints and develop solutions.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

We are currently looking for a Leasing Supervisor to join our on-site community team to help support a positive experience for our residents.

What are the responsibilities of a Leasing Supervisor?

• Responsible for leading the leasing team to promote resident interest and retention through high quality customer service
• Meet with team members on a regular basis to discuss strengths and development opportunities
• Delegate responsibilities with strategic consideration to departmental needs
• Resolve employee relations issues ethically and in a timely manner
• Present community information to prospective renters in a professional manner to appeal to their rental needs
• Assists the apartment community with their accounting needs
• Provide accurate information on the selling features of the community and surrounding area
• Build positive rapport with potential residents by answering telephone and email communications in a timely manner
• Process applications for prospective residents and follow up to maintain consistent communication
• Prepare lease contracts and other required documents
• Follow procedures to coordinate residents moving in and out of the community, making sure to properly document events and communicate the status to the proper departments
• Listen to resident complaints and help develop solutions for them
• Additional duties as assigned by manager

What are the role requirements?

• Previous sales or customer service experience is required
• Previous management experience is required
• Previous experience in multi-family property management is preferred
• Previous leasing experience is preferred
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs
• Experience using Yardi Voyager or related property management software is preferred
• Maintain a professional appearance following team dress code policy
• Must be flexible with work schedule. Weekend hours may be assigned
• Have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
