Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and inquiries about housing availability and discuss features.
  • Schedule inspections and assist with move-in/move-out inspections with clients.
  • Pre-inspect homes prior to scheduled move-in to ensure clean, habitable conditions.
  • Explain community benefits to clients.
  • Be familiar with floor plans and neighborhoods on waiting lists.
  • Maintain records of inquiries and applications on the waiting list.
  • Monitor status of applications and acceptance or rejection.
  • Process required leasing documents and move-in packets.
  • Maintain move-in packets with a signed inspection in compliance with Fair Housing Laws.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with ethics.
  • Foster respectful relationships with staff and residents.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as directed by supervisor.
  • Enforce company policies and participate in trainings.

Job description

Responsibilities
  1. Answer phones and inquiries about housing availability and confidently discuss various features offered.
  2. Schedule and assist with periodic inspections; conduct move‑in and move‑out inspections with the client.
  3. Pre‑inspect homes as assigned prior to scheduled move‑in to assure clean, habitable conditions and create a favorable first impression.
  4. Explain the community benefits to clients.
  5. Be familiar with the various floor plans and neighborhoods available to the various ranks on the waiting lists.
  6. Keep accurate records of all inquiries and applications on the waiting list.
  7. Monitor and follow up on the status of applications and the applicant’s acceptance or rejection of homes within their eligibility.
  8. Ensure completion of all required documentation to process the application, including the lease and move‑in packet and all required leasing reports.
  9. Maintain the move‑in packet according to guidelines with a complete move‑in inspection signed by management and the resident, in compliance with Fair Housing Laws.
  10. Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with the code of ethics.
  11. Maintain mutually respectful, collaborative relationships with staff and residents.
  12. Attend appropriate internal and external meetings as assigned by supervisor.
  13. Enforce and adhere to company policies, rules and regulations.
  14. Participate in staff meetings and trainings as directed by supervisor.
  15. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Experience: Any combination of experience, education or training that will assist the employee to successfully fulfill the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Required Education/Training: High School Diploma or GED, valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Advocate, organize, problem‑solve and obtain results for residents.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and prioritize work.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations and exercise resolution skills where appropriate.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment.
  • Effectively present information, and respond to questions from residents, supervisors, and other co‑workers.
  • Capacity to operate independently and resourcefully, taking initiative and exercising own judgment for majority of work.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Preferred knowledge of housing‑specific software, e.g., Yardi, RealPage.
Working Conditions

The employee’s work involves primarily office work in a typical office environment, however, showing available units to prospective residents may involve driving, walking, climbing stairs as part of home inspection tours in a variety of weather conditions. The job can involve some degree of stress and requires flexible hours, occasionally including evenings or weekend work.

Salary Range

$25.75-$28.00 per hour
