Job summary

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist prospective and future residents through the process of finding their new home.
• Serve as primary point of contact for prospective residents and communicate effectively throughout the leasing process.
• Perform administrative duties related to leasing, including gathering documents and processing completed applications.

Skills & Competencies

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or Communications (preferred).
• 4+ years of leasing experience.
• 3+ years of multi‑family and/or single‑family rental home experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrable experience in single‑family, multi‑family, construction, or leasing industry.
• Effective negotiating skills.
• Knowledge of Rently preferred.
• Experience in Grass Roots Marketing.
• Knowledgeable on fair housing and local real‑estate laws.

Essential Job Functions

• Daily outbound and inbound follow‑up with leads expressing interest in a Maymont home.
• Assist prospective residents with scheduling viewings and applying for a Maymont home.
• Document follow‑up with prospective residents in the proprietary database.
• Process applications: gather documents, conduct credit and criminal checks, and complete data entry in internal software.
• Compile feedback from self‑showings and conversations with prospects and communicate findings to cross‑functional teams.
• Collaborate with local market leaders to resolve leasing issues.
• Follow Fair Housing, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and other pertinent laws.
• Represent Maymont Homes in a professional manner consistent with customer service values.

Key Metrics & Responsibilities

• Close a prospect promptly.
• Outperform peer averages at each node of the sales funnel (lead → showing, showing → application, application → move‑in).
• Generate meaningful feedback and collaborate with local teams and centralized leaders.
• Achieve high scores on customer satisfaction and secret shopper metrics.
• Consistently meet monthly move‑in targets (e.g., at least 50 per month).
• Maintain low data entry, approval, and procedural error rate.
• Avoid excessive days vacant in assigned territories.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of working extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing, with corrective lenses if needed.
• Must speak clear and understandable English.
• Involves sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, pushing, shoving, lifting, carrying and moving objects up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to climb several flights of stairs if necessary.
• Requires finger dexterity for typing.

Environmental Requirements

• Work on multiple assignments with frequent interruptions, changes, and delays.
• Maintain focus, efficiency, and cheerfulness under such circumstances.
• Remain alert to safety, health, and environmental concerns.
• Work in the office as regularly scheduled.
