Job summary

Focus is seeking a Leasing Agent to own the full leasing journey from first inquiry through signed lease, a sales-driven role emphasizing speed, accuracy, and conversion. You will handle prospect communication, coordinate tours, and prepare lease documents, ensuring a smooth and compliant process.

The position offers flexibility with an in-office day each week for training, remote work outside that day, and opportunities for professional development through ongoing coaching and team events.

Responsibilities

• Manage all prospect and applicant communication from initial inquiry through signed lease
• Respond quickly and professionally via phone, text, and email
• Maintain follow-up and sales momentum
• Present and sell available units and community value
• Schedule in-person tours with field team members when needed
• Conduct virtual tours and provide digital leasing materials
• Follow up after tours to convert prospects to signed leases
• Review applications and supporting documentation
• Approve or deny applicants using screening criteria and Fair Housing guidelines
• Communicate decisions and next steps clearly
• Maintain accurate approval and denial records
• Prepare and send lease documents with high accuracy
• Verify pricing, concessions, fees, and add-ons
• Drive timely lease signatures and completion
• Identify and correct errors proactively
• Present and sell additional income opportunities when appropriate
• Ensure add-ons are properly disclosed and documented
• Maximize revenue per lease while maintaining compliance
• Deliver a professional and consistent leasing experience
• Represent the company brand positively in all interactions
• Escalate complex issues when necessary while maintaining ownership
