We are seeking a dynamic, customer-focused Leasing Representative for our multifamily properties. The role involves being the first point of contact for prospective residents, showcasing units, facilitating leasing processes, and ensuring a positive experience.

Essential Job Functions

• Manage all leasing activities, including property tours, client greetings, needs assessment, answering inquiries, and scheduling appointments.
• Support applicants through the leasing process, gather documents, conduct background and credit checks, and communicate application statuses.
• Build positive relationships with residents and staff, fostering a welcoming environment and efficient operations.
• Handle maintenance requests collaboratively with the maintenance team and communicate effectively with residents about repairs, renewals, and inquiries.
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly sales reports and analyze traffic data.
• Process deposits and rent payments accurately.
• Stay informed on local market trends and competitor offerings, providing feedback for strategic planning.
• Prepare and execute lease agreements in line with company policies, maintaining organized records.
• Be present on-site, able to move throughout the building, and communicate effectively with tenants, staff, vendors, and visitors.
• Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is a plus.
• At least 1 year of leasing or sales experience, preferably in multifamily residential properties.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computers and property management software (Microsoft Office, iLuvLeasing, On-Site, Yardi).
• Knowledge of fair housing laws and leasing practices.
• Valid NYS real estate license or ability to obtain within 120 days of employment. Active license holders must register with Rose Associates.
• Work authorization required.
• Availability to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
