Leasing Representative Job Summary:

The Leasing Representative will be responsible for the leasing of our commercial, industrial, and office properties. The successful candidate will market vacant space, respond to inquiries, show properties, and prepare lease documents. The Leasing Representative will ensure compliance with all legal requirements and that all terms of the lease are met.

Leasing Representative Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Market rental properties and list vacancies through print and online advertising
  2. Respond to inquiries from prospective tenants
  3. Show properties and provide information regarding the property and its amenities
  4. Negotiate lease terms and prepare lease documents
  5. Monitor lease compliance and ensure all terms are met
  6. Prepare move-in/move-out paperwork
  7. Collect security deposits and rent payments
  8. Maintain tenant files and process tenant applications
  9. Respond to tenant complaints in a timely manner
  10. Ensure compliance with all legal requirements

Leasing Representative Requirements and Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Relevant experience in property management and leasing
  3. Excellent communication, customer service, and negotiation skills
  4. Able to work independently and multitask
  5. Knowledge of provincial and federal housing laws
  6. Basic computer and math skills
  7. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
