We are seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and detail-oriented Leasing Professional with lease-up experience to join our growing team at our multifamily community in Columbus, Ohio. As a Leasing Professional, you will be on the front lines of the lease-up strategy—driving traffic, converting leads, and delivering a top-tier experience to prospective residents from first contact through move-in.

This is a high-impact role that requires superior communication skills, strong organizational ability, and an energetic, customer-first attitude. If you thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and have experience helping new properties achieve rapid lease-up success, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leasing & Sales Performance:
    • Greet prospects warmly, build rapport, and showcase the community through guided tours.
    • Respond promptly to leads, inquiries, and follow-ups through phone, email, and digital platforms.
    • Convert prospects to leases by presenting available apartments and lease terms persuasively.
    • Maintain a closing ratio consistent with high-performance leasing standards during the lease-up phase.
  • Assist in the execution of community-specific marketing plans to drive traffic and awareness.
  • Participate in outreach initiatives, open houses, and promotional events to attract prospects.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of local market comps, pricing trends, and amenity offerings.
  • Application & Move-In Coordination:
    • Guide prospects through the application, screening, and lease signing process.
    • Ensure all lease files are complete, accurate, and compliant—including renter’s insurance, ID verification, and other required documentation.
    • Coordinate with the Maintenance and Management teams to ensure units are move-in ready.
    • Assist with preparing welcome materials and conducting move-in inspections.
  • Resident Relations & Retention:
    • Serve as a point of contact for new residents, providing exceptional customer service from day one.
    • Encourage lease renewals and promote community engagement to enhance resident satisfaction.
    • Address concerns promptly and work with the team to resolve service requests and issues efficiently.
  • Administrative & Compliance:
    • Accurately input data into property management software, track leasing activity, and maintain up-to-date records.
    • Ensure full compliance with Fair Housing laws and internal policies in all leasing activities.
    • Assist the Property Manager with reporting and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in apartment leasing, with demonstrated lease-up success preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Fair Housing laws and multifamily compliance standards.
  • Proficient with leasing platforms, CRM tools, and property management software (e.g., Rent Manager, Yardi).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual abilities a plus.
  • Energetic personality, positive attitude, and a passion for customer service.
  • Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed during lease-up.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk the property, tour units, climb stairs, and work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Capable of lifting and moving up to 25 pounds.
  • Competitive hourly wage + commission-based leasing bonuses.
  • Eligibility for additional lease-up incentives.
  • Opportunities for advancement within a growing real estate platform.
  • Ongoing training and career development.
