Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Leasing Manager to oversee our property leasing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the leasing process, ensuring high occupancy rates, and providing exceptional customer service to prospective tenants. The Leasing Manager will work closely with the property management team to implement effective leasing strategies and maintain compliance with legal regulations.

Duties

1. Manage the entire leasing process from initial inquiry to lease signing, ensuring a smooth experience for prospective tenants.
2. Conduct property tours and showcase available units, highlighting features and benefits to encourage leasing decisions.
3. Utilize AppFolio software for tracking leads, managing tenant applications, and maintaining accurate records.
4. Implement upselling techniques to maximize rental income and enhance tenant satisfaction.
5. Collaborate with facilities management to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet tenant expectations.
6. Handle administrative tasks including lease documentation, tenant communications, and compliance with Section 8 regulations.
7. Maintain knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to property leasing and management.
8. Provide excellent phone etiquette when interacting with potential tenants and addressing inquiries or concerns.
9. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance requests and coordinating with maintenance staff.

Qualifications

1. Proven experience in leasing or property management, preferably in a managerial role.
2. Strong sales skills with a track record of successful upselling techniques.
3. Familiarity with AppFolio software is highly desirable.
4. Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail in documentation and record keeping.
5. Knowledge of Section 8 housing regulations is beneficial.
6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on professional phone etiquette.
7. Understanding of legal aspects related to property leasing is preferred but not mandatory.
8. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative in independent tasks.
