Job summary

PNC is seeking an Accounting Associate to join the Finance team, supporting leasing products with a portfolio of over $13 billion. The role is based in Pittsburgh, PA or Cincinnati, OH, and requires in-office work five days a week.

The position offers exposure to accounting operations, collaboration across departments, and advancement within a large leasing portfolio, under the guidance of the Leasing Products Controller and Assistant Controller.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA or active pursuit of a CPA designation preferred.
• Two or more years of accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with the general ledger, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyze large datasets.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly close activities and variance analysis for multiple entities.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Conduct accounting system research and support departmental projects.
• Prepare corporate reporting packages and ad hoc financial reports.
• Partner with business stakeholders and provide exceptional customer service.
• Respond to inquiries from Line of Business Operations teams.
• Support special projects and process improvement initiatives.
• Assist junior accounting staff in developing their skills.
