Job description

Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) of Cincinnati, Ohio invites you to become a part of its dynamic and forward-thinking affordable housing agency. We are the 17th largest agency in the country with approximately 4,718 public housing units and 11,700 vouchers as well as developing affordable housing program. Our Vision is to shape our future by utilizing sustainable funding models to develop quality, affordable housing solutions in partnership with our community stakeholders. We are seeking an energetic professional for the position of Leasing Coordinator.

Job Summary: The Leasing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all vacant units are filled with eligibility applicants from the waiting list according to preference, date and time, in sequence order; the vacant units must maintain compliance with LIHTC, HOME, NSP, LIPH, PBRA Multifamily housing program rules and regulations when filling units.

Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will have an Associate Degree with two (2) years’ experience in Affordable Housing.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
  • Strong math, analytical, oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to conduct research, coordinate multiple projects, solve problems, prepare/update supporting documentation and maintain records.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team; exercise tact and diplomacy and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work under pressure and successfully meet deadlines.
  • Excellent decision-making, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Ability to interact and deal with a diverse client population.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PC-based computer applications.
  • A valid drivers’ license with no more than 6 accumulated points in 3 consecutive years.
