Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Community Manager and/or Assistant Manager, the Leasing Consultant assists in marketing, leasing, and maintaining relationships with residents. Responsibilities include developing advertising strategies, leasing units, and providing excellent customer service.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create a positive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Assist with resident services programming.
  • Use maintenance software to track service requests.
  • Screen prospective residents following legal and company guidelines.
  • Prepare market surveys and traffic reports.
  • Manage lease renewal processes.
  • Determine prospective residents' needs and prepare lease packages.
  • Collect rents and other payments.
  • Handle move-in and move-out procedures.
  • Greet and respond to inquiries from residents and prospects.
  • Follow up with guests after visits and send thank you cards.
  • Perform housekeeping duties as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Professional appearance and work ethic.
  • Valid driver’s license or government-issued ID.
  • Assist in emergencies and handle resident requests.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and oral.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in One Site preferred.
  • At least one year of property management experience preferred.
  • Experience with affordable housing, Tax Credit, HUD, or Rural Development is a plus.
Physical Demands
  • Access all areas of the property, including multilevel structures.
  • Work on a computer for at least 7 hours daily, standing or sitting.
  • Provide a welcoming environment for potential residents.
  • Open model apartments for tours and inspections.
  • Communicate effectively with applicants, residents, vendors, and staff.
