Leasing Consultant (Virginia Beach, Virginia)

Location: Virginia Beach, VA

Job Type: Full-time, Entry level

Schedule: Weekend hours, Saturdays 10AM - 5PM. Occasional weekend hours may be required.

Job Overview

Responsible for leasing apartments, handling prospective resident inquiries, performing clerical duties, and supporting office personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Lease apartments at the highest effective rent level possible, maintaining excellent customer service.
  2. Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests and resolve issues.
  3. Explain company and community policies to residents and prospects.
  4. Complete lease documents accurately and timely.
  5. Maintain resident files and enter data according to company policy.
  6. Develop and maintain resident retention and renewal programs.
  7. Inspect apartments before move-in to ensure readiness.
  8. Assist with leasing activities and resident relations.
  9. Stay informed about community amenities, rent levels, and area facts.
  10. Assist in preparing market survey reports.
  11. Greet new residents and facilitate move-in processes.
  12. Qualify potential residents and show available units.
  13. Participate in community events and become certified as a Leasing Specialist.
  14. Travel may be required; reasonable vehicle use may be necessary.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills

Physical Requirements

Regularly stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, and hear. Frequently sit, climb, balance, stoop, or kneel. May lift/move up to 25 pounds.
