Job Summary

The Leasing Consultant handles leasing, retention, and occupancy duties, promoting resident satisfaction and creating positive experiences for visitors, prospects, and residents through excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Greet prospects, qualify them based on criteria, and engage effectively.
  • Prepare move-in packages and lease documentation.
  • Record visits and maintain guest cards and reports.
  • Inspect units and communicate maintenance needs.
  • Assist prospects with applications and deposits following company and Fair Housing policies.
  • Update availability reports and process applications for approval.
  • Support renewal processes and monitor advertising effectiveness.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.
  • Accept and promptly deposit rental payments.
  • Input lease data accurately into the Yardi system and review with management.
  • Assist with other tasks as needed and adhere to community policies.
Requirements
  • Experience in customer service or sales.
  • Fair Housing Certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with telephone, computers, Microsoft Office, and community management software.
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • At least 2 years of relevant customer service experience.
  • Ability to handle customer concerns effectively.
Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, climb, and remain at a desk for extended periods.
  • Walk the property in various weather conditions.
  • Climb stairs to show properties.
  • Lift up to 30 lbs as needed.
