Job Description

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for leasing, retention, and occupancy management while promoting resident satisfaction. This role involves creating a positive experience for visitors, prospects, and residents through excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
  1. Greet prospects, qualify them, and gather necessary information.
  2. Prepare move-in packages and lease paperwork.
  3. Record visits and maintain guest cards according to procedures.
  4. Inspect models and available units; communicate service needs.
  5. Complete applications, secure deposits, and process approvals.
  6. Assist with lease renewals and follow-up on notices.
  7. Monitor advertising effectiveness and market competition.
  8. Represent the company professionally at all times.
  9. Accept and promptly deposit rental payments.
  10. Type leases, complete paperwork, and input data accurately.
  11. Support the management team with various tasks.
  12. Implement community policies consistently.
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience in customer service and/or sales.
  • Fair Housing Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, and community software.
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
  • Two years of relevant customer service experience.
  • Ability to diffuse customer concerns effectively.
Education
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, climb, and remain at a desk for extended periods.
  • Ability to walk the property in various weather conditions.
  • Climb stairs to show properties.
  • Lift up to 30 lbs. as needed.
