Job summary

Urban Village is seeking a Leasing Consultant to showcase our apartments and engage prospective residents. You will highlight features that make living in our community a unique experience, while upholding lease standards and providing exceptional customer service.

This part-time role requires 3 days per week, with weekend work possible. A positive attitude, strong organization, and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and internet applications.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• Experience with lease terms, contract enforcement, and collections preferred.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident inquiries and conduct tours of apartment homes.
• Assist with leasing efforts and ongoing leasing training.
• Collaborate with on-site staff, residents, supervisors, and vendors.
• Support community operations under the Community Manager.

Job description

Position: Leasing Consultant

Category: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Supervisor: Community Manager

Hours: Typical range of hours is based on the community needs and may require weekends and after hour emergency services. Workdays may be adjusted based on community needs. Part Time: 3 days per week, 8 hours per day (average 24 hours).

Physical Demands: Light (occasional up to 25 pounds) - Climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, handle, etc.

Drug Screens: Pre-employment, post injury, reasonable suspicion, and possible random screens.

• Skilled in assessing and addressing community common area and amenity needs, with a strong attention to detail and commitment to community standards.
• Effectively prioritizes tasks independently, manages time well, and consistently achieves assigned objectives and projects.

• Possesses intermediate math skills for financial reporting, budgeting, and record-keeping, including proficiency with percentages, decimals, and fractions.
• Welcomed knowledge of property operations, with an emphasis on lease terms, contract enforcement, and collections.

General Summary of Associate Responsibility

• Provides comprehensive support across all facets of community operations, working closely with and under the guidance of the Community Manager.

Preferred Education and Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Prior sales experience encouraged

3. Channeling Resources: * Forge connections with vendors and potential partners, establishing communication channels to support our community's needs. * Keep your Program Coordinator in the loop by sharing relevant information and contact details for potential collaborations.
4. Building Leaders: * Educate residents about the program and inspire their involvement as resident facilitators, empowering them to take on leadership roles. * Guide interested residents through the sign-up process, nurturing the next generation of community leaders.
