Leasing Consultant - Depot on Old Santa Fe

Kittle Property Group is seeking a friendly and motivated Leasing Consultant to join our team full-time at $17/hour to help create a wonderful living experience at our brand new property. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, a positive attitude, and a passion for helping people find their new home. Previous leasing or property management experience is preferred.

Position Summary

Responsible and accountable for leasing apartments and providing customer service to ensure maximum occupancy and resident retention.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lease apartments through telephone sales and apartment tours with prospective residents.
  • Follow up and establish rapport with prospective and current residents.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Present the apartment community professionally.
  • Coordinate move-ins and move-outs for residents' convenience.
  • Manage lease negotiations, resident retention, and renewal processes.
  • Assist in maintaining excellent curb appeal.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Write work order requests, follow up, and enter information into Yardi.
  • Assist with rent collection and delinquency management.
  • Provide account information to property management and credit agencies.
  • Enforce community rules and regulations and handle resident relations.
  • Supervise neighborhood committee activities.
  • Engage in outside marketing and build rapport with local businesses and community agencies.
  • Organize and maintain resident files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills & Knowledge

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • No prior experience necessary.
  • Basic reading, writing, speaking, and interpreting skills.
  • Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.
  • Reasoning skills for following instructions and problem-solving.
  • Beginner experience with MS Office.

Training Requirements

  • Attend annual fair housing, Section 42, and leasing classes.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development.

Physical Demands

  • Occasional sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasional standing, walking, talking, hearing, outdoor exposure.
  • Required vision capabilities.

Work Environment
