Leasing Consultant - Clinton Avenue Historic Apartments

Summary: Leasing Consultants assist the Community Leader in managing the community.

Essential Duties
  • Showing available apartments
  • Procurement of applications, when necessary
  • Inspections, move-in/move-out procedures following established protocols
  • Placing residents in suitable homes
  • Delivering notices
  • Other community management duties as directed by HL Community Leader
  • Minimizing vacancies, promoting good resident and public relations, and ensuring program compliance
Clerical Duties
  • Processing rental applications and maintaining the waitlist
  • Showing and renting vacant apartments
  • Processing transfers and move-outs
  • Receiving and handling service requests
  • Inputting certification information
  • Preparing compliance reports
  • Performing credit checks
  • Maintaining records as required
Knowledge and Skill Requirements

High school diploma required; previous property management experience preferred. Must have good communication, computer skills, and the ability to multitask. Ability to work well with others is essential.

Physical Demands

Regular use of hands for manipulating tools, controls, phones, and keyboards. Frequent standing, reaching, climbing, balancing, and stooping. Ability to lift and move supplies up to 20 lbs.

Work Conditions

Primarily office-based with frequent property tours and apartment showings. Regular interaction with residents and staff.
