Bell Partners Inc. is seeking a Leasing Consultant in the Washington, DC area to welcome prospective residents, coordinate tours, and respond to leasing inquiries.

You will interact with current residents, renewals, and act as the communication hub between residents, management, and maintenance teams. Responsibilities include leasing, following fair housing standards, monitoring traffic, maintaining product knowledge, supporting marketing, and processing applications and lease packets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years’ customer service experience; hospitality or apartment leasing role preferred.
• Demonstrate support of BAL strategic drivers and provide exceptional customer service.
• Must work well on a team and present a professional image.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong MS Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the welcoming first point of contact for residents, prospects, and visitors to the community.
• Effectively lease apartments and sell property products and services in line with the budget.
• Ensure Fair Housing standards in all interactions with prospects and residents.
• Follow up on leasing traffic and monitor trends; maintain product knowledge of property and competitors.
• Coordinate resident applications and complete lease packets with all addenda and forms.
• Support marketing activities to position Bell communities as preferred choices.

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for welcoming prospective residents to the community, coordinating tours, and responding to incoming inquiries about leasing. The position will also interact with current residents regarding day-to-day issues as well as coordinating the renewals of existing leases. The Leasing Consultant will serve as a central point of communication between the Community residents, Community management, as well as community maintenance teams.

What You’ll Do To Make a Difference

• Serve as the welcoming first point of contact for all residents, prospects, and visitors to the community
• Effectively lease apartments and sell property’s products and services in accordance with budget
• Ensure Fair Housing Standards in all matters when working with prospects and residents
• Follow up on leasing traffic entries and monitor traffic trends
• Maintain thorough product knowledge of property and that of major competition
• Assist with marketing activities to position Bell communities as communities of choice
• Coordinate the resident application review in accordance with Bell guidelines
• Complete lease packets and files for each resident to include the lease, all addendums and other forms
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Proper documentation
• Follow up with residents throughout the lease
• Receive any resident inquiries, complaints, or issues and provide timely follow up

Physical Requirements Of The Job

• Walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting to 30 lbs.
