Location: The Ellory, Minneapolis, MN (175 Units)

Hours

38-40 hours/week. We are expanding office hours as needed to accommodate lease-up traffic. Flexibility required within the below schedule.

Tuesday – Friday 8:30am – 7:00pm

Saturday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Scheduled dates and hours are subject to change at employer discretion.

Summary

Leasing Consultants are responsible for all activities related to apartment rentals, move-ins, and lease renewals. The incumbent interacts directly with prospective and current residents to achieve maximum occupancy. This includes generating and handling traffic, leasing apartments, qualifying prospects, preparing lease documentation, and completing move-in paperwork and procedures. Supports an employee-first culture and exemplifies core values of relationships, development, quality, and responsibility.

Essential Job Duties

• Answer incoming phone inquiries regarding available apartments. Provide all information requested and encourage the prospect to schedule an appointment to visit the property
• Provide a tour of available apartments that meet the prospect’s needs
• Inform the prospect on the advantages of renting from Bigos Management
• Maintain working knowledge of the competition in the area by utilizing public information (e.g., property websites and internet searches)
• Follow-up via telephone with prospects who have not made a decision and continue to sell the property
• Qualify all prospective renters using company-approved procedures
• Move-in new renters, discuss lease and complex rules, and conduct move-in inspections; coordinate move-out inspections as needed
• Follow-up with residents on renewal of their lease
• Other duties as assigned by Property Manager

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years customer service and/or sales experience required
• Previous leasing experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to use tact, diplomacy, and a courteous manner when dealing with coworkers and the public
• Organizational and time management skills
• Basic computer literacy (email, web applications)
• Real Estate Licenses must not be active while working in this role

Physical Demands

Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed material and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in-person and over the telephone. Must be able to navigate the property/building as required, including climbing stairs and walking hallways and common areas.
