Summary

The Leasing Consultant conducts tours, completes leasing processes with prospective residents, and implements marketing strategies for the property. Responsibilities also include planning and hosting resident events and maintaining positive resident relations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Interview prospective residents and assess their needs and qualifications.
• Accompany prospects to model or vacant apartments, discussing size, layout, amenities, and lease terms.
• Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects.
• Process applications in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Handle lease renewals as needed.
• Schedule move-ins and complete all lease paperwork.
• Inspect apartments prior to move-in to ensure readiness.
• Follow up with new residents after move-in.
• Periodically inspect the property and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Plan and coordinate resident events.
• Handle resident requests and complaints courteously and efficiently.
• Assist with marketing duties, including market surveys and resident notices.
• Adhere to all company policies, including safety and Fair Housing regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• One year of leasing experience preferred.
• Up to one year of related experience or training; a combination of education and experience is acceptable.
• Experience with virtual and in-person tours is preferred.
• Knowledge of property management platforms (Yardi, Entrata, Yieldstar, CRM) is preferred.
• Marketing skills, including social media and resident event planning, are a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
• A valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required depending on the property.

Environmental and Physical Demands

These include constant walking, standing, and sitting; climbing stairs; occasional bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reaching. Lifting less than 10 lbs frequently and over 10 lbs occasionally. Strong finger dexterity, sensory skills, and the ability to work indoors and outdoors in moderate noise levels. Possible exposure to chemicals and fumes.
