Overview

The Leasing Consultant performs activities related to the successful leasing of apartments to ensure budgeted occupancy and net operating income.

  • Urban residential leasing experience preferred.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including weekends.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain good relations with residents, prospects, customers, and co-workers.
  • Ensure the sales office, models, vacant units, and common areas meet standards daily; report deficiencies to the Property Manager.
  • Respond to inquiries, providing comprehensive information about the property and area.
  • Maintain knowledge of local market conditions; conduct market surveys and monitor competitors.
  • Follow fair housing policies.
  • Present the property, models, and amenities professionally to prospects.
  • Provide prospects with brochures, floor plans, and collateral materials.
  • Follow-up within 24 hours with a phone call and thank you note after initial tours.
  • Enter all sales data, including guest cards, into property management software daily.
  • Process rental applications, verify information, and submit for approval.
  • Prepare leases, riders, and addenda for new tenants.
  • Inspect apartments before move-in and report deficiencies.
  • Communicate courteously with all contacts, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Prepare and deliver reports as needed.
  • Assist in organizing resident events and participate in outreach activities.
