Southwood Realty is seeking a full-time Leasing Agent in Wilmington, NC. The role focuses on greeting prospects, presenting features of the community, and securing leases while upholding Fair Housing and other housing laws.

The agent will maintain a professional leasing office atmosphere, inspect models daily, handle inquiries, and ensure accurate paperwork, rents, and deposits with a focus on curb appeal and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Positions requires good leasing and closing skills and have at least 2 years of selling experience.
• Must be able to type 30 WPM.
• Prefer at least 2 years of customer service.
• Person must be organized.

Responsibilities

• Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments
• Maintain a professional, but friendly atmosphere in the leasing office and throughout the community
• Inspects models and "market ready" vacancies daily
• Answers incoming phone calls and handles each call professionally
• Greet prospective residents, determine their needs and preferences, and professionally present community and show apartments suitable to the prospect's needs while communicating features and benefits
• Maintain daily property advertising materials
• Accurately and promptly complete all paperwork related to prospective applications and leases
• Accept rents and deposits
• Helps to ensure the physical well-being and curb appeal of the apartment community

The Leasing Agent is the property's sales representative whose primary duties are to greet prospects, to present professionally the features and benefits of their assigned community and property, and secure lease agreements from qualified persons.
