Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) invites applications for a Leasing Advisory Intern position in Chicago. You will support senior brokers with business development, data gathering, and preparing client-ready materials, while gaining exposure to CRE processes on the Occupier and Landlord sides.

The internship emphasizes analytical work, market research, and hands-on use of Excel-based tools, CRM software, and brokerage platforms. US work authorization is required for the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
• Previous internship experience in a professional environment.
• Permanent US work authorization.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze both qualitative and quantitative information.
• Excellent organization and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A strong interest in pursuing a career path as a commissioned Broker.

Responsibilities

• Support senior brokers with business development by initiating outreach to new leads, managing prospect data, and organizing historical client activity.
• Gather and evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate market data to assist with client deliverables and presentations.
• Assist with the preparation of offering materials, pitch decks, and other presentations for new business pursuits.
• Read, review, and abstract real estate documents such as leases and operating expense statements for clients.
• Create and use sophisticated Excel‑based analytical tools and financial models for ad‑hoc analysis.
• Shadow senior brokers in transaction negotiations, evaluations, and documentation.
• Serve as a technology champion, promoting and supporting the use of JLL's brokerage software and CRM programs.
